First off, WELCOME TO THE WORLD OF WILLY SAUCE! If you’ve been here before, welcome back! Otherwise, here’s a little snippet of what Willy Sauce is all about.
Once upon a time, I was born. Okay, fast forward a little bit… I’m a senior at Batavia High School and my mom and I love to garden together… Okay, maybe just a little bit more… I’m now what you may consider an “adult” and have a house in Elburn, IL with a big ol’ garden! Having always enjoyed spicy food – and hot sauce, of course – I decided to grow some hot peppers. However, I didn’t quite know what to do with them at the beginning. I quickly discovered that simply cooking with the peppers themselves was just a bit too hot, even for me!
The following year I decided I’d try to make hot sauce with the peppers instead. I started with a recipe I found online and it turned out pretty good – though a bit hotter than I would choose to enjoy on a regular basis. For the next batch, I decided to go at it on my own and began crafting recipes from scratch. The feedback I received from friends was so outstanding, I was encouraged to keep at it and developed more varieties and boosted my overall quantity. Thus, Willy Sauce was officially born.
NOW LET’S TALK SAUCE… My main objective was to craft something delicious. Don’t get me wrong, I’m all about the heat but I wanted it to be well balanced with flavor, as to encourage adding “just one more drop.” The result is a collection of sauces that are flavor forward and still deliver the burn you desire. A variety of heat levels exists to ensure that there’s a sauce for everyone – whether you are just beginning your spice journey, or are well on your way to being a certified hot head.
All in all, Willy Sauce aims to bring joy to people by means of hot sauce. I have always loved connecting with people, whether I’ve known them for less than a day or my whole life. My hope is to provide everyone with a flavorful (and somewhat fiery) experience – an experience that we can all share in and talk about together as we collectively make our way through this thing called life.
